The first Kiawe Tree was planted by Father Bachelot in Hawaii in 1828 with seeds grown in the Royal Garden in Paris. Our Moloka’i Kiawe Smoked Salt adds a bold and smoky flavor to vegetarian dishes, soups, stews, roasted meats and most important, our local favorite, Kalua Pig.
